You may be new to the entire Crypto-Currencies concept! if so we recommend you to read the article ‘What-is-cryptocurrency‘ However you can use the following quick guide to learn about the easiest and fastest way to get Bitcoins and use them!

You can use the table of contents for fast navigation and We invite you to add your comments and record your rating!

Step 1: A Quick introduction to Bitcoin

Bitcoins has been operational since 2009 without any interruption. They are impossible to counterfeit or inflate and have been used to send/receive money at very low cost, with anyone, anywhere in the world. You can get bitcoins by accepting them as a payment for goods and services or by buying them from a friend or someone near you. You can also buy them directly from an exchange with your bank account.

A Bitcoin transactions must be confirmed at least once but preferably 6+ times before becoming validated. Ones validated they cannot be reversed or refunded. You should only deal with businesses or people you trust. All Bitcoin transactions are stored publicly and permanently on the network, which means anyone can see the balance and transactions of any Bitcoin address.

Step 2: How to get A Bitcoin Wallet?

You should make sure that you have a wallet to fund it with Bitcoin. There are several types available: mobile, desktop, and hybrid wallets.

Best Mobile Bitcoin Wallets

We have selected the most popular available apps for iPhone and Android:

Airbitz is another Bitcoin wallet integrated with Fold, meaning you can get 20% discount at Starbucks from within the wallet. It manages accounts with usernames and passwords, but doesn’t have access to your funds.  This  type  of account creation is easier for less technical users who may have trouble backing up or understanding HD seeds.

Breadwallet started out as the most popular wallet for iPhone, and now it is also available for Android devices. The simplicity and easy to use security makes it a great place to start for users who are new to bitcoin.

Best Bitcoin Software Wallets

If you want more control of your and do not depend on third-party services. You can download Bitcoin software wallets to your computer. Most of them require a day or so to download the whole blockchain (transaction history) before they are ready for use:

Armory is the most mature, secure and full featured Bitcoin wallet. Whether you are an individual storing $1,000 or institution storing a Million You are in complete control of Bitcoin private keys and can set up a secure-signing process.

Bitcoin Core is the “official” Bitcoin client and wallet, it a full node, meaning it helps verify and transmit other Bitcoin transactions across the network and stores a copy of the entire blockchain. This offers better privacy since Core doesn’t have to rely on data from external servers or other peers on the network.

Breadwallet started out as the most popular wallet for iPhone, and now it is also available for Android devices. The simplicity and easy to use security makes it a great place to start for users who are new to bitcoin.

Best Hybrid Bitcoin Wallets

Hybrid Bitcoin allow you to both control the private keys and have the easy of use of a web wallet.

Copay is a Bitcoin wallet created by Bitpay easy to use and available on multiple devices: iOS, Android, Linux, Max OS X, and Windows. It has a clear user interface, with shared account feature, which requires a certain number of users to sign transaction.

Best Bitcoin Hardware Wallets

Bitcoin hardware wallets are the most secure because they do not expose your private keys to the network.

Ledger Wallet A USB bitcoin hardware wallet with malware proof and smartcard security in a very compact package.

OPENDIME The Bitcoin Credit Stick: A USB bitcoin hardware wallet that is simple to use, tiny, tamper evident.

Best Bitcoin Web Wallets

Bitcoin web wallets are the easiest and most convenient to use but are potentially less secure than the above options because the private keys to your bitcoins are usually held by a third-party. There is a large number of security breaches where people have lost bitcoins, we do recommend to only use them with small amount of coins in order to spend or exchange them with other currencies but never for storing your bitcoin! A wallet like Copay used on mobile & desktop is easy to use across many devices and provides more security for your Bitcoins (more details in next page!).

Create a wallet in Coinbase is free and you have the ability to receive and store bitcoin, secure your funds with 2-factor authentication, create recurring payments, manage paper wallets, and even send bitcoin to email addresses.
and transfers of bitcoins in/out from your wallet is allowed for all members, but
At this time, the only way to purchase bitcoin on Coinbase is by connecting a US or European bank account.
You must be a resident or citizen in the same country as the bank account you use with Coinbase.

      Thank you Brahim
As for securing your fund this will be the subject of my next blog but you still need to use web wallets for transactions
The tip is to transfer maximum of your fund to offline wallets (Should be explained in next blog) and
keep minimum coins that you can afford to lose just in case.
